The Message at Midnight
"I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel; my reins also instruct me in the night seasons."
PSALM 16:7
With David I can say my best instructions come after midnight.
"Thou hast proved mine heart; Thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried me and shall find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress."
PSALM 17:3
Here are three (3) powerful results of midnight prayer and seeking:
- A visit from God.
- A heart searching.
- A renewed purpose.
When David said: "Early will I seek Him"
, I believe he referred to his midnight meetings with the Lord. For those who cannot rise early to pray, stay up after midnight and pray earlier!
LESSON: If at midnight a cry is to be made, "Behold, He cometh," let us be found waiting. God's great events happen at midnight! Midnight is God's hour!
