Twisted Foot Straightened Up!

Hi, I would like to relate to you how my father was saved and miraculously healed. I got saved in early 1986 while doing my postgraduate studies at university. My mother, who had spent a large part of her life searching for God, soon got saved after I showed her, from the Bible, what she must do to follow God. My father on the other hand, was very sceptical and actually thought we had both gone a little crazy; he believed I had pushed myself too hard with my studies and this had somewhat affected me, especially since I used to be the hard line atheist who hid my mother’s Bibles.

After I left to work in Europe, my mother spent several years praying for my father to also get saved. Now going back some years to the mid 1970’s, my father had had a grave accident. While working in a steel factory, a two tonne steel beam had fallen vertically 8 metres just missing his head, but severing off his lower leg at the calf muscle. Skilful microsurgery helped to put his leg back together, and it eventually healed. As a result of this accident the leg was about 1.5 cm shorter, which meant he needed a built-up shoe, and his Achilles’ tendon was shorter so he was unable to totally bend his leg. His foot was also twisted outwards due to the shinbone not mending totally straight.

In 1990/91 I returned to Australia for holidays and my mother confided in me that my father had been seeking for the Holy Spirit. So on the last evening before I returned to Europe at one of my friend’s place in Melbourne, we prayed for my father to receive the Holy Spirit. He did, and he spoke in a new language exactly as described in the Acts of the Apostles. I asked him if he wanted his leg to be healed by the power of God, and he replied, "of course". We prayed in the name of Jesus Christ and commanded his leg to grow to the same length as the other leg and for the Achilles’ heal to also grow to its full length. During prayer my mother and my friend could see how the leg actually grew before their very eyes. My father also mentioned that during the prayer the twisted foot straightened up. After prayer I asked him to stand up and to bend down fully with both legs, which he was able to do for the first time since the accident had happened. That evening my father kept walking up and down the corridor stating that he had not been able to walk like this for fourteen years! Since that day he wears normal shoes, and the backaches he used to suffer from as a result of the shorter leg have disappeared.

Nothing has changed since the days Jesus walked with the Apostles. Jesus said that all things are possible to them who believe, and that even greater works would be done after his death and resurrection.
